Westgate Veteran Named President and GM

Cami Christensen has been promoted to president and general manager of the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

Christensen, most recently assistant general manager and vice president of resort operations, has been with the off-Strip casino hotel since 2001 when it was still the Las Vegas Hilton. She joined the property as assistant front office manager and moved through the executive ranks to assume leadership positions in food and beverage, hotel operations and sales, retail operations and resort development.

In her new role Christensen will oversee “resort and casino operations and lead in developing the vision and strategy for continuing the property’s growth,” according to a Westgate statement.

An Iowa native, she has been active in the Las Vegas community with a variety of non-profits, Westgate said, including: HELP of Southern Nevada, Opportunity Village, Casa de Luz, Three Square Food Bank and Veterans Village.

David Siegel, founder and CEO of parent Westgate Resorts, professed himself “thrilled” with the promotion.

“Cami is a rare talent and an incredible role model for all 2,000 of our team members. I can’t think of a better person to lead us forward.”
