Cover Up on Fremont Street

New rules for street performers on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, including those who are barely clothed, take effect in November to make it a more tourist-friendly area and to better regulate street performances and performers.

Street performers on Fremont Street in Las Vegas will have to abide by new performance regulations starting November 1.

City officials recently enacted new rules to better regulate the popular street performances and help to ensure a good time for tourists and better business for performers.

The new rules require performers to obtain licenses and stay within areas 6 feet in diameter while they perform for tourists and not harass them for money.

Las Vegas also started a daily lottery to win two-hours’ use of one of 38 small performance circles located in the very popular and busy covered open-air mall.
