666Bet Out of UK

The UK Gambling Commission has confirmed that 666Bet will stop its operations in the UK market after it was reported that parent company Metro Play will fold. The site has been suspended in Britain since March while under investigation by UK regulators.

666Bet is done in the UK according to the country’s gambling commission.

The closure comes after it was reported that the site’s parent company Metro Play is folding. The site has been under suspension in the UK since March when regulators began an investigation into the site for possible money laundering and fraud.

The suspension led to problems for customers seeking to close accounts. The site eventually was able to refund some money, but the Commission later said the withdrawals were halted due to a lack of funds.

Now it has been confirmed that the site will not relaunch its services and that Metro Play will be liquidated under an order of the Court of Alderney dated July 2.

“As the company is being liquidated, under section 114 (2) (b) of the Gambling Act 2005, Metro Play Limited’s operating license has lapsed. They are no longer licensed to provide facilities for gambling in Great Britain.”, the commission said in a statement.

The commission could not say if the customer repayment process will be completed.
