Las Vegas Sands Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sheldon Adelson (l.) donated $4.5 million to Republicans running for the Texas House in the recent election cycle and hired eight lobbyists to push for legalized casino gambling. His wish could come true if lawmakers pass state Rep. Joe Deshotel's bill authorizing casino gambling in coastal areas.
