Affinity Gaming donated $5,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association’s Desert Southwest Chapter during the 13th annual Alzheimer’s Association Education Conference at the Henderson Convention Center.

In March, Affinity Gaming announced its corporate citizenship commitment this year would go to the Alzheimer’s Association. It plans to donate a total of $100,000 to the association’s regional chapters in the states and communities in which Affinity Gaming does business.

Affinity Gaming has 11 casinos in Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, and Iowa, and says it will provide financial support for all Alzheimer’s Association chapters serving the locales in which each of the casinos are located.

Desert Southwest Chapter Southern Regional Director Albert Chavez accepted the $5,000 donation on the chapter’s behalf.

Silver Sevens General Manager Dan Uonites said Affinity Gaming is committed to helping advance preventions, treatments, and cures for the disease and dementia, which primarily affect older adults.
