AGA Membership Grows By 50 Percent

The American Gaming Association recently announced its membership has grown by 50 percent since January 2015, due to a new membership and governance structure. The organization recently added AGS, Cherokee Nation Entertainment and Delaware North to its board. Five new general members also joined the group.

Membership in the American Gaming Association has grown by 50 percent since January 2015—and the organization recently added eight new members, including three new board members. The impressive growth is the result of a new membership and governance structure, beginning in late 2014, when tribal gaming operators were invited to join commercial operators, casino suppliers and allied members. “AGA’s growing membership across every sector of the gaming industry positions us to effectively advocate for the most important industry issues,” AGA said in a statement.

The three new board members are AGS, a full-service designer and manufacturer of gaming products for the casino floor; Cherokee Nation Entertainment, the wholly-owned gaming and hospitality company of the Cherokee Nation, the largest federally recognized tribe in the U.S.; and Delaware North, among the largest privately held hospitality and food service companies in the world.

New general members are Acres 4.0, founded by John Acres, the inventor of player tracking, to provide innovative technology solutions for casinos; American Casino & Entertainment Properties, a casino holding company that operates four gaming and entertainment properties in southern Nevada; FireKeepers Casino, in Battle Creek, Michigan, owned and operated by the Notawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi; NYX Gaming, provider of content and technology to gaming operators, lotteries and casinos worldwide; and Genius Sports, a leader in sports data integrity protection.
