Aristocrat Names Sevigny VGT President

Aristocrat Leisure, Ltd. has named industry veteran Jay Sevigny as president of the company’s recently acquired VGT subsidiary.

Australian slot manufacturer Aristocrat Leisure, Ltd. named Jay Sevigny, a 35-year casino industry veteran, as president of Video Gaming Technologies, Inc., the Tennessee-based Class II slot supplier Aristocrat acquired last year. Sevigny replaces Interim President Rich Schneider, who will return to his former role as Aristocrat chief product officer.

The appointment is effective February 9, pending required regulatory approvals. Sevigny will be based at VGT’s headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, and will join Aristocrat’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to CEO Jamie Odell.

Sevigny has more than three decades’ experience in the gaming industry. He began his career in casino operations for Boyd Gaming Corporation in 1980 before moving through a range of senior leadership roles in finance, marketing and general management at Harrah’s Entertainment and later with Gaylord Entertainment Company. Sevigny also served as VGT’s chief operating officer from 2006 to 2011.

“I am delighted to be welcoming a proven leader of Jay’s caliber to our team,” said Odell. “Jay’s strategic capability, outstanding leadership skills and deep familiarity with VGT’s business and the needs of our Class II customers makes him an ideal choice to lead the division going forward.”

“I am excited at the wealth of opportunities available to VGT as part of the Aristocrat family, and am honored to be leading the business forward under its new ownership,” Sevigny said. “I believe VGT can deliver even better game performance and service in future, and am looking forward to reconnecting with our customers to offer the best Class II gaming experience in the industry.”
