Arizona Coyotes Want to Move License

The Arizona Coyotes are seeking a bill that would allow them to move their mobile sports betting license from Glendale to Arizona State University’s hockey arena.

The current arena holds only 5,000 fans. The law that allows professional sports teams to operate retail and mobile sportsbook requires them to operate from facilities that hold at least 10,000.

The team plans to use the ASU arena for three years while it develops a $1.7 billion project that will include dining, retail shops, residential and a hockey arena in Tempe. They will only offer mobile sports betting at the temporary location.
