Atlantic City’s Claridge Hotel Looks for May Reopening

Atlantic City’s Claridge Hotel—once a casino property—is scheduled to reopen in May with new restaurants, a lobby bar and new entertainment. TJM Atlantic City purchased the 500-room hotel from Caesars Entertainment in October.

The Claridge Hotel, one of Atlantic City’s oldest, will reopen with a newly refurbished look in May, but without a casino.

The hotel will feature new restaurants, a lobby bar and new entertainment offerings, owners TJM Atlantic City announced. The company, a subsidiary of St. Petersburg, Fla.-based, TJM Properties Inc., purchased the 500-room hotel from Caesars Entertainment on October for an undisclosed price, with the stipulation that it will not include gaming upon reopening.

TJM officials said announcements will soon be made about new attractions at the 1920s-era property. Information on room reservations, employment opportunities and property developments will be posted on Claridge.com

The Claridge was built to emulate the Empire State Building in New York City.
