An attorney for the Emerald Legacy Trust has claimed a $457 million Powerball ticket sold in Manheim, Pennsylvania in a Speedway convenience mart. The ticket was sold March 17 and could have been sold to an individual or several people. The trust allows them to remain anonymous.
The lawyer, Andrew Santana, who represents the trust, did not answer calls from the media.
Pennsylvania Lottery spokesman Gary Miller said it would take about a month to process the check. In some states, trusts representing anonymous persons are allowed to claim lottery winnings. Miller said that the Lottery would be reviewing the law to see whether the state’s Right-to-Know law addresses such an issue.
