Ballenger Receives Founders Award

At the recent Women Leaders in Gaming Summit, Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf Vice President and General Manager Nancy Ballenger was named the recipient of the 2018 Founders Award. Established in 2013, the award recognizes a woman who has shown a strong commitment to and has made a notable impact on Iowa's gaming industry.

Ballenger Receives Founders Award

Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf Vice President and General Manager Nancy Ballenger recently received the prestigious Founders Award at the 2018 Women Leaders in Gaming Summit. The award has been given annually since 2013 in recognition of a woman who has demonstrated a strong commitment to and made a significant impact on the gaming industry in Iowa.

Iowa Gaming Association President and CEO Wes Ehrecke stated, “Some people make things happen, some people watch things happen and some wonder what happened. Nancy has certainly made things happen for Iowa’s gaming industry for nearly 30 years.”

Since starting her casino industry career in marketing, Ballenger has worked her way through all facets of the gaming hospitality industry and ultimately was named general manager at Bettendorf venue. Most recently, she led the Isle’s $50 million land-based

Ballenger also serves on the board of the Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau and is actively involved in the Women Leaders in Gaming initiative.
