Stars Group Buys Sky Bet For $4.7 Billion

The Stars Group, owners of PokerStars, has purchased Sky Betting & Gaming in a cash and stock deal valued at $4.7 billion. The acquisition instantly makes the Canadian-based Stars Group a major player in international sports betting and Stars Group CEO Rafi Ashkenazi (l.) said it will make the group the “world’s largest publicly listed online gaming company.”

Illinois State Rep Wants Casino Revenue Sharing Lowered

Illinois state Rep. Marty Moylan, who represents Des Plaines, said if lawmakers allow more casinos, Rivers' Casino's revenue sharing should drop from $10 million to $4-$5 million. Atlantic County Settles Casino Tax Dispute in New Jersey
