Bally’s Atlantic City Opens First Stage of $3 million Makeover

Bally’s Atlantic City scheduled the opening of its new Boardwalk Saloon for president’s Day weekend. It is the first major addition of its $3 million Wild Wild West makeover.

Bally’s Atlantic City has opened the first part of a million makeover to its Wild Wild West Casino.

The Boardwalk Saloon was slated to open for the President’s Day weekend. The bar is located in the space formerly occupied by an animatronic display of a miner and mountain and Boardwalk frontage previously occupied by a Rita’s Italian Ice stand. It also features a performance stage that will feature free concerts.

“The Saloon is going to be a really fun hangout and build on the whole synergy from the Mountain Bar,” says Regional Vice President of Food and Beverage Joseph Giunta. “The saloon has front-row seats to where the entertainment is. The miner is dead and gone. Think urban country—Americana—with corrugated tin on the front of the bar, a lot of distressed wood, festoon lighting and uniforms for the staff that will include Daisy Duke jean shorts for the ladies with vests and jeans and biker vests for the guys. Although we have a country theme, we are not really a country venue. We have more rock acts than anyone, but occasionally you will see country, too.”

The bar will also offer drink special in conjunction with the casino’s already established Mountain Bar, Giunta said in a press release.

“The Saloon will also offer some new things that we are pretty excited about, including a great frozen drink menu, hand-crafted whiskey cocktails and 16 taps, many which will pour fun, hard-to-find craft beers,” Giunta says.

Other amenities scheduled to come on line from the makeover are a Snack Shack, a grab-and-go concept, which open in early April in the former Wild About Wings location right next to Mountain Bar. and Guy’s Bar-B-Que Joint—in conjunction with celebrity chef Guy Fieri—which will open in May.
