Belterra Completes 3-Year, $15 Million Renovation

Pinnacle Entertainment's Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, Indiana recently completed a $15 million, three-year renovation. The property now offers 55,000 square feet of upgraded meeting and convention space, plus renovated hotel rooms, three new restaurants, updated common areas and cosmetic updates on the casino floor.

The million renovation at Pinnacle Entertainment’s Belterra Casino Resort riverboat casino in Florence, Switzerland County, Indiana recently was completed. Vice President and General Manager Sue Ascanio said, “These improvements underscore our commitment to providing a best-in-class experience for not just our loyal guests, but also to creating memorable and productive experiences for meeting planners and convention goers across the Midwest.

The renovation included upgrading 55,500 square feet of meeting and convention space with all-new imported carpeting, elegant wall fixtures and sconces plus comfortable new seating. In addition, the resort added wifi internet access at 100 megabits per second, faster than what is available at many regional convention spaces or hotels.

The three-year project also featured renovated hotel rooms, three new restaurants, updated common areas and cosmetic updates on the casino floor.

Last year competing riverboat casinos in southeast Indiana riverboats generated less revenue than 2014, but Belterra Casino posted a 5.5 percent increase with gaming revenue of $108.3 million. “We are very proud of our resort, our offerings and our team. We know that because of our financial commitment to our business we will continue to see great success,” Ascanio said.

Overlooking the Ohio River, Belterra offers luxury, deluxe and classic hotel rooms, as well as pet friendly rooms. The casino includes more than 1,200 slot machines, video poker and two high-limit slot rooms, table games and a poker room. Amenities include an outdoor pool with private cabanas, a spa and24-hour fitness center, salon, golf course, retail, entertainment venue and seven dining options including a steak house, buffet and sports bar.
