BetBlocker.org, an online support program for problem gamblers, has been accredited by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) as a responsible gambling charity.

BetBlocker is a free app that gives users a comprehensive tool restricting access to more than 12,000 gambling websites. App restrictions can last from 24 hours to five years. According to SBC News, BetBlocker.org is one of six charities on the UKGC’s website that combats problem gambling.

Scottish charities regulator OSCR, which approved BetBlocker.org in August 2019, said it helps with “the prevention or relief of poverty,” and provides “relief services for those in ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages.”
