Betsson Names Google Exec as Ad Head

Marion Gamel, a former executive with Google, has been named chief advertising officer for Betsson.

Betsson has appointed previous Google executive Marion Gamel as its brand-new chief advertising officer.

Gamel, who most recently served as vice-president of marketing at Eventbrite, will take up her new role with Betsson next month.

Prior to her time with Eventbrite, Gamel enjoyed a seven-year agreement with search engine giant Google, where she held a number of senior roles.

Gamel joined Google in 2003 and was a founding member of the firm’s European marketing team, before going on to serve as marketing manager for the UK and Ireland. Her final role with the search engine brand saw her become head of marketing for emerging markets, before she left to join Eventbrite, the release said.
