Big Names on G2E Lineup

The 14th annual show in Vegas will feature some of the biggest names in the gaming industry. Keynotes will be provided by Steve Wynn and Sheldon Adelson. Jim Murren and Jim Allen also will speak.

The American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions have announced the speaker lineup for the gaming industry’s 14th annual trade show in Las Vegas.

According to a statement from the companies, G2E 2014 will “unite the greatest collection of industry leaders in the show’s history,” including Sheldon Adelson, Thomas Graf, Patti Hart, Jim Murren, Jamie Odell and Steve Wynn.

The annual event takes places September 30 to October 2 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas and will feature the largest expo floor since 2008.

“We’re thrilled to bring together an impressive group of industry leaders who have helped to lead the growth of our industry into the economic engine it is today,” said Geoff Freeman, president and CEO of the AGA. “We look forward to hearing from each of our speakers about how we can strengthen gaming in the years to come.”

Wynn and Adelson will deliver keynote addresses on Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1, respectively. Also on Tuesday, Jim Murren, chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International, and Jim Allen, CEO of Seminole Gaming and chairman of Hard Rock International, and others will discuss the state of the industry.

Industry suppliers will speak on Wednesday, October 1. The featured speakers include: Patti Hart, CEO of IGT;  Jamie Odell, CEO and managing director of Aristocrat Leisure Limited; Thomas Graf, CTO of Novomatic AG; David Baazov, CEO of Amaya; and Pat Ramsey, CEO of Multimedia Games.

This year’s event will be the biggest show in five years, showcasing more than 450 exhibitors from around the world. Topics under discussion will include skill-based gaming and consumer behavior; capturing the millennial customer; and big data and cyber security. In partnership with the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association, G2E will also introduce its first-ever Hotel Conference, covering the latest trends in revenue management and technology and spotlighting non-gaming amenities, products and services.
