New Jersey’s leading online gaming operator, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, along with its online gaming partner bwin.party’s PartyPoker, will hold the inaugural New Jersey Championship of Online Poker in April featuring 15 events and 0,000 in guaranteed tournament money.
The Championship begins April 19th with a $50,000 Freeroll tournament, and runs through April 27th.
The Championship is the largest guaranteed online poker series since internet gaming was legalized in New Jersey.
“We are pleased to launch the state’s largest guaranteed online poker series to-date,” said Senior Vice President of Operations Joe Lupo, in a press release. “Having experienced a 14 percent, or $3.1 million gain in overall internet gaming revenue for the month of February, Borgata continues to stay aggressive in implementing innovative and intriguing virtual gaming options such as the New Jersey Championship of Online Poker that we believe will appeal to our customers and further strengthen our position as a leader in online gaming.”
Tournament events include Freezouts, 6-max, Rebuys, Deepstacks, a High Roller tournament with at least $20,000 for first and $10,000 for second, and even a special Player’s Choice tournament on April 24th. The championship culminates with the $200,000 Guaranteed NJCOP Main Event on April 27th with $50,000 guaranteed for first place, the release said.
