Boyd Gaming Elects New Board Members

Boyd Gaming recently declared Las Vegas attorney John Bailey, and Loews Hotels and Resorts CEO Paul Whetsell as the newest executives on their board of directors. Loews operates 22 hotels in the United States and Canada, while Bailey specializes in corporate and gaming law.

It appears as if Paul Whetsell and John Bailey will have to update their resumes very soon. Boyd Gaming Corp. recently made the two men the newest members of their board of directors.

Paul Whetsell, CEO of Loews Hotels and Resorts brings nearly four decades of experience in the hospitality industry according to Boyd Gaming Executive Chairman Bill Boyd, and added he “will be an invaluable adviser to our company as we continue to execute on our long-term growth strategy,” in a statement.

“As one of Nevada’s most respected attorneys, John will further strengthen our legal expertise on the board,” the same statement said. Boyd Gaming, headquartered in Las Vegas, operates 22 casinos in eight states, which includes nine in the Las Vegas area.
