Boyd Gaming’s Boughner Retiring

Boyd Gaming Corporation Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer Robert L. Boughner announced he will retire this summer. Boughner has held several key senior leadership positions in his 40-year career at Boyd Gaming. He will remain a member of the company's board of directors.

Robert L. Boughner will retire as executive vice president and chief business development officer at Boyd Gaming Corporation this summer, after serving 40 years and holding numerous senior leadership positions at the company. Boughner will remain a member of the company’s board of directors.

Boughner has held his current position since 2012, leading a variety of business development initiatives including redeveloping non-gaming amenities at Boyd Gaming properties cross the country. He also oversees several key administrative and support departments at the company.

As chief operating officer at Boyd Gaming from 1990-2001, Boughner led Boyd Gaming through major expansion between 1990-2001, as the company opened or acquired eight properties. Then he was named president and chief executive officer at Borgata, where he led the design, development and operations at the most profitable and successful casino resort in Atlantic City.

The company will announce Boughner’s replacement at a later date.
