Boyd Gaming signed a sports betting technology deal with International Game Technology to provide equipment to the casino operator’s retail sportsbooks in Nevada, as well as the mobile sports betting app and online sports betting portal.
Boyd will also use IGT’s PlaySports self-service sports wagering kiosks at its Las Vegas-area casinos.
Financial terms were not disclosed. IGT and Boyd said in a statement they will do a phased approach in adding the features and services associated with the technology, according to CDC Gaming Reports.
This agreement comes weeks after IGT and FanDuel extended their partnership through September 2024, a deal which includes sports betting and iGaming in the U.S. IGT’s platform will be utilized by FanDuel retail sportsbooks in eight states, and FanDuel has agreed to offer IGT’s online casino games in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Boyd also has a partnership with FanDuel to provide sportsbooks at its casinos.
IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President Enrico Drago said the agreement with Boyd will allow the gaming company “to differentiate its sports betting product in meaningful ways that position them to attract new players and grow revenue in the segment.”
