The government of Buenos Aires has ordered that casinos, racetracks and bingo halls close down to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The Buenos Aires Ministry of Health has ordered casinos in the Argentine capital to close as a safety precaution during the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“Although some may not like this situation, they are measures that we have to take,” Minister Fernán Quirós said at a press conference.

Racetracks and bingo halls also have been ordered close down to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Speaking to radio La Red, Quirós stressed the importance of “the community committing to change their way of living and doing things.”
