Caesars Initiates Upgrades, Celebrates 50th

Caesars Entertainment is upgrading thousands of hotel rooms on the Las Vegas Strip and celebrating its 50th year in business this year with a special Celine Dion (l.) concert. Caesars is improving 20 percent of its rooms on the Strip, including those at Caesars Palace, Harrah’s, Paris Las Vegas, and Planet Hollywood, and Dion will perform her 1,000th show in August.

Many visitors to Caesars Entertainment properties on the Las Vegas Strip will enjoy swanky new digs during their stay.

Caesars Entertainment is improving 20 percent of its rooms on the Las Vegas Strip. Those improvements will happen at its core properties of Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas, and Harrah’s.

The upgrades represent about a fifth of all hotel rooms Caesars operates on the Las Vegas Strip and is the company’s largest ever improvement in a single year.

The improvements are being done as occupancy rates on the Strip average around 95 percent, and Caesars Entertainment looks to provide a more immersive and experiential visit for its guests in Las Vegas.

Caesars Entertainment Senior Vice President of Hospitality and Entertainment Philip Auerbach says hotel guests in Las Vegas use their rooms much less than hotel guests in other locations, and Caesars is looking to improve their experience during their stay.

Those improvements include improving in-room amenities, such as USB outlets, Wi-Fi service, smart televisions, and other enhancements. Meanwhile, Caesars Entertainment is working to improve entertainment options and keep more guests at its properties on the Las Vegas Strip.

Helping with that goal is Celine Dion celebrating her 1,00th show on the Las Vegas Strip, while also helping Caesars Palace celebrate its 50th year in business.

Her 1,000th show is scheduled to be a particularly eventful evening in August, with special invitations sent to prominent celebrities, as well as former artists and celebrities who have performed at Caesars Palace over the years.

Jay Sarno opened Caesars Palace in 1966, and it has remained a prominent fixture on the Las Vegas Strip since, and has hosted many of the world’s most popular entertainers and sports stars.

With 4,000 rooms, it also remains one of the largest hotel operations on the Las Vegas Strip and globally.
