California Signs Gaming Compact with Santa Rosa Tribe

California’s Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe has signed a new gaming compact with Governor Gavin Newsom. The tribe has operated the Tachi Palace Resort since 1993. It employs about 1,100 people.

California Governor Gavin Newsom April 27 signed a new tribal state gaming compact with the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe in Kings County.

Tribal Chairman Leo Sisco hailed the agreement: “On behalf of the Tachi Yokut Tribe, I would like to thank Governor Newsom and his staff for their hard work and dedication as we worked to achieve this important milestone.” He added, “We look forward to continuing to foster a strong and prosperous government-to-government relationship with the State of California and Kings County for the next 25 years as a result of this compact.”

The tribe has operated the Tachi Palace Casino Resort since 1993. The operation employees 1,100 people.
