Cambodia’s Start Live Casino Gains With Software Development

Cambodia’s Start Live Casino added online gambling software design for online games to it business, which includes two brick-and-mortar casinos and online gambling. The venture is bringing in $2 million a month, according to reports.

Start Live Casino is the first Cambodian firm to develop and distribute online casino software.

The firm began in 2011 as a subsidiary of Lucky89 Group, which operates two licensed brick-and-mortar casinos in Bavet, according to the Phnom Penn Post. The firm faced strong competition in the market and added online gambling, which attracted offshore betting.

While it originally outsourced its online product, the casino eventually started developing its own software platform and now has begun licensing its software to others in the industry, the report said.

The company now develops its own turnkey solutions for online gaming, specializing in live-dealer systems that allow gamers in other countries to gamble virtually with live human dealers in a physical casino via webcam, the paper said.

Most of the casino’s new clients are land-based casinos that have failed at launching online gambling.

The company provides the software to existing online casino clients in return for 3 per cent of profits. In the case of establishing a new online casino, it charges a one-time startup fee or enters into a profit-sharing joint venture with the client.

Start live officials estimate the deals have brought in 2 million a month in revenue. The company currently has 11 international clients for its white label product, which manages the clients’ online gaming operations, including live-dealer table games, slots, sports betting and lotteries, the paper said.
