A provincial committee in Vietnam has submitted a plan to build a high-end entertainment tourism center with a casino in the Van Phong Economic Zone (l.), near Cam Ranh Bay.

The Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee in Vietnam has submitted a proposal for a high-end entertainment complex with gaming in the Van Phong Economic Zone, not far from Cam Ranh Bay.

The special zone spans about 173 acres and was designated to drive economic development in the region. According to VNExpress.com, the goal is to create “an environmentally friendly smart city” that also includes a container port, fisheries and other industry.

The proposal for a Van Phong casino complex has been sent to the prime minister.
