Circa Sports Expands Into Illinois, Partners With Full House Resorts

Circa Sports has announced plans to partner with Full House Resorts and their property American Place, a casino currently under construction in Waukegan, a suburb outside of Chicago. Circa will operate the property’s sportsbook and bring their mobile betting app to the state of Illinois as a whole.

Circa and Full House will first operate a temporary casino–The Temporary by American Place–until the permanent American Place location is completed. In addition to the Circa-sponsored sportsbook, the resort will also feature a 1,500-seat entertainment venue, over 1,500 slots, and a 20-suite hotel.

In a release, Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens said that the company was “thrilled to introduce our industry-leading sports betting and hospitality experience to Illinois.” This will be the third state the Las Vegas-based company has expanded to, joining Colorado and Iowa, however American Place will be their first physical sportsbook outside of Nevada.

“We have developed incredible relationships with Midwest bettors at our Las Vegas casinos, so to bring our product to the great state of Illinois is a major milestone for us,” Stevens said.

Alex Stolyar, the chief development officer for Full House, said that Circa was an optimal partner because of their recent successes in Las Vegas and beyond. “We witnessed how Derek and his team have revolutionized the sports betting and viewing experience at Circa, and knew that they would be the right partner for American Place,” Stolyar said.

As part of the partnership, Circa’s mobile sports betting app will be accessible to Illinois bettors statewide.
