James Siva was unanimously reelected chairman of the California Nations Indian Gaming Association at the association’s annual meeting last week.
The association, which represents 40 gaming tribes in the Golden State, also elected Isaiah Vivanco as treasurer of the association’s executive committee.
Siva is vice-chairman of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians while Vivanco is chairman of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians.
Siva said in a statement, “I am deeply honored to be re-elected as chairman by the 40 members of this great organization.” He added, “CNIGA is a great forum for tribes to come together and be an unstoppable force to protect tribal gaming rights and tribal sovereignty.”
