Codere has announced a new sports betting website under the Codere Apuestas brand.
The website features a variety of in-play betting markets and allows players to place bets via desktop, the company said in a press release. The launch follows the release of a new online app for mobile devices.
The launch comes as part of the company’s strategy to grow its online sports betting business in the Spanish market and respond to customers’ demand for better and more diverse offering available across multiple channels, the release said.
Players will also be able to access a diverse catalog of casino titles, including traditional table games and online slots, with those being supplied by internationally recognized providers.
Codere’s sports betting division currently operates in five countries – Spain, Panama, Brazil, Mexico, and Uruguay. As of 2014, Codere Apuestas managed 1,709 betting shops. The company was the first to receive a license for the operation of sports betting options in its home country, Spain. It opened its first betting facility in 2008 in Madrid and has since then expanded to multiple other territories across the country as well as online, the release said.
