Covid Curfew Set for Dutch Casinos

Starting September 20, casinos (Holland Casino Amsterdam at left) and slot halls in several Netherlands regions began to observe a 1 a.m. curfew, with no new customers admitted after midnight. The curfew was established to help curb the incidence of Covid-19 infections in the communities.

Casinos and slot operations in the Dutch regions of Amsterdam-Amstelland, Haaglanden, Hollands Midden, Rijnmond and Utrecht must now close at 1 a.m. under new Covid-19 restrictions.

According to CDC Gaming Reports, U Casinos and slot halls in the Dutch regions of Amsterdam-Amstelland, Haaglanden, Hollands Midden, Rijnmond and Utrecht are under the curfew order, which took effect September 20. The gaming halls may not admit any new customers after midnight.

The rules apply to five of the Netherlands’ 25 regions, but these regions include the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, the Hague, Utrecht, Hoofddorp and Leiden.

Casinos and slot halls in the Netherlands reopened on 1 July after closing in mid-March.
