GGB PODCAST: Cynthia Hallett, President and CEO, Americans for Nonsmokers’ Rights

In this episode we sit down with Cynthia Hallett, president and CEO of Americans for Nonsmokers’ Rights, to talk about the increasingly contentious issue of smoking in casinos.

It’s been a long battle for Cynthia Hallet who has led Americans for Nonsmokers’ Rights for more than 20 years. Casino executives are fearful that a smoking ban will lower their revenues, but some recent studies have proven the opposite. Hallet talks about those studies and the progress being made in New Jersey where the CEASE group has gotten a smoking ban measure before the legislature, but has failed to get it passed. She also explains why the time is now for action to occur since many casinos that have banned smoking recently have posted record revenues. She spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at G2E in Las Vegas in October.
