DAZN Bet, the new gaming offshoot of sports streaming provider DAZN, has hired Gemma Burge as their new Head of Safer Gambling to help establish and implement responsible gaming practices before the company’s official launch later this summer.
“I’m really excited to be working for this incredible brand as it starts its new venture, building a gambling experience that will promote safe play and customer well-being,” Burge said in a statement.
The new sports betting platform is expected to launch later this summer to coincide with the upcoming Premier League and English Football League soccer seasons, which begin in late July and early August.
Burge’s hiring is just one of the many new appointments the company has announced recently as they try and build their corporate roster before going live.
Thus far, DAZN Bet has appointed new CEO Mark Kemp, Chief Technology Officer Sandeep Tiku, and EVP of Betting Ian Turnbull. The trio are former BoyleSports, Amazon and Entain executives, respectively.
