DraftKings continues to go European and has launched a new daily fantasy sports site in Germany.
The American DFS giant has pursued expansion into Europe and been licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority.
The German site will offer DFS games on all sports covered by DraftKings in the U.S., including contests based on the NFL, Major League Baseball and the NBA, as well as seven soccer leagues.
“Germany is known for its passionate sports fans and we are pleased to welcome them to daily fantasy sports,” said Jeffrey Haas, chief international officer at DraftKings, in a press release. “Germans show a proclivity for American sports, particularly the NFL and NBA. Initial testing in Germany shows that our most popular sport has been the NBA, which is why we are opening our beta test to all German sports fans.”
