DraftKings, MLB Expand their Relationship

DraftKings has taken another step in its partnership with Major League Baseball.

Recently, they signed a lucrative deal that involves betting and daily fantasy sports. Matt Kalish, president of DraftKings North America and the company’s co-founder, since the initial daily fantasy agreement with MLB in 2012, such activity has boomed.

The expanded agreement gives the sports betting giant more promotions as MLB is anointed the official daily fantasy sports partner and shares the title of official sports betting partner with BetMGM.

With the new agreement, fans can livestream MLB games in the DraftKings app. Kenny Gersh, executive vice president of MLB, said the deal offers another product to increase fan engagement. DraftKings will also give fans ample options to win 2021 World Series tickets.

Both sides want the future to involve MLB.TV and incorporate sports betting within that platform.
