FanDuel Moves to Convert to 24/7 Sports Betting Network

In a move seen as another step towards the evolution of sportsbooks into media titans, FanDuel will rebrand its TVG racing channel into FanDuel TV. The goal is to form the first watch-and-wager network in the U.S.

The ambitious plan could be launched in September, according to Legal Sports Report. But that may be too ambitious.

The TVG horse betting app and site itself would remain unchanged. The flagship TVG channel would move away from horse racing, with morning programs on sports betting and talent.

A typical day could look something like :

5 a.m.-6 a.m.: More Ways To Win (NBA content)

6 a.m.-7 a.m.: Bill Simmons & The Ringer

7 a.m.-8 a.m.: Former Good Morning Football host Kay Adams hosting a new SportsCenter-style show

8 a.m.-9 a.m.: Pat McAfee

9 a.m.-9 p.m.: Live racing with cut-ins and sports updates from FanDuel talent.

The overnight hours would feature Korean football, pickleball and Chinese basketball and the like.

A deal with Adams has yet to be signed. In fact, very few talent and betting contracts have gone that far.

FanDuel appointed Mike Raffensperger as chief commercial officer, a new position. He will oversee content and programming for FanDuel TV.

Back in May 2021, Raffensperger told Front Office Sports the sportsbooks already saw itself as a sports media company thanks to its deals with SportsGrid, McAfee, The Ringer, Turner Sports and others.
