The Pass, the downtown Henderson, Nevada casino formerly known as the Eldorado, is embarking on a $20 million project to add a 90-room Atwell Suites-branded hotel on a portion of the current surface parking lot.
The 1960s-vintage Eldorado, sold by Boyd Gaming to developer Joe DeSimone in 2020, has seen marked improvement in business since DeSimone purchased it. The new project will be one of many initiated to revive Henderson’s Water Street corridor, which now includes restaurants, brew pubs, an ice rink and other new amenities.
The six-story Atwell Suites hotel will complement its 90 suits with a pool and wine bar, DeSimone told Eli Segall of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
