Frustrated Gambler Punches Slot Machine

A frustrated gambler, Dion King of Mason City, Iowa, repeatedly punched the touchscreen of a slot machine at Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage. He was charged with criminal mischief. Court records do not indicate how much money, if any, King had lost.

Dion King of Mason City, Iowa recently was charged with criminal mischief after he repeatedly punched a slot machine at Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood. King told a Worth County deputy he punched the machine out of frustration.

The deputy was sent to the casino to review security video, which showed King punching the machine’s touchscreen several times, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage.

Court records do not indicate how much money, if any, King had lost before striking the machine.
