Las Vegas-based Full House Resorts is building a 300-room, Alpine-themed hotel, the Chamonix, adjacent to Bronco Billy’s Casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado.

The $180 million expansion will be run as a separate resort: Chamonix Casino Hotel. The 29-near-old Bronco Billy’s will continue to operate during construction, expected to be completed by the end of next year.

When the new resort opens, Bronco Billy’s will close for several weeks to refresh, allowing it to be ready by the summer season of 2023.

Full House CEO Dan Lee said in a statement, “The New Bronco Billy’s will continue to offer its Western theme under the Bronco Billy’s name and will be connected to the adjoining Chamonix Casino Hotel.”

The gaming company was inspired to up its game after Colorado voters in November approved allowing the three casino towns to remove the $100 betting limit they had operated under for many years. Voters also authorized additional games such as baccarat and keno.

Lee said, “In response, we increased our plans for the new hotel in Cripple Creek, expanding the room base by 67 percent. We believe Chamonix’s upscale atmosphere will be a perfect complement to the refurbished Bronco Billy’s. At our Chamonix, guests can experience Pike’s Peak and the surrounding area’s natural beauty by hiking, mountain biking, rock-climbing, fishing, fossil-hunting, and exploring local gold-mining operations and historic railways.”

Chamonix will offer VIP suites, the first luxury guest rooms in the Cripple Creek market and fine dining intended to attract culinary travelers and expand the market beyond Colorado Springs. The property will also double Cripple Creek’s hotel inventory. The new resort will also have a 300-space parking garage and meeting and convention space.

But don’t book quite yet. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Full House also entered into a 30-year tidelands lease in Mississippi, which will allow the company to more than double the number of hotel rooms at Silver Slipper. The $75 million project will result in over 300 hotel rooms,

meeting space, a spa and restaurant.
