Reed Exhibitions, producer and co-organizer of Global Gaming Expo Asia, reported that this year’s event, held May 19-21, logged record attendance of 10,095 visitors from 79 countries and regions, who attended the stands of 185 exhibitors. Attendance numbers were independently audited, according to Reed.
Last year’s edition of G2E Asia had recorded more than 8,200 visitors, according to Reed. A total of 160 exhibitors took part in the 2014 event.
“Additionally demonstrating the event’s ever-expanding interest from abroad,” said a statement from Reed, “7,288 or 69 percent of G2E Asia 2015 visitors came from outside of Macau, a 20 percent jump from the previous year.”
Reed Exhibitions reported to GGR Asia that a total of 668 buyers with purchasing budgets visited G2E Asia 2015, with more than 80 pre-arranged meetings conducted on the show floor.
“We’re already anticipating an even bigger, record-breaking show at G2E Asia 2016,” Reed Exhibitions Greater China president Hu Wei said in a statement. The 2016 edition will again return to the Venetian Macao, where it has been held since 2008.
