B2B online gaming solution supplier GameAccount Network Plc. (GAN) announced that its Simulated Gaming online platform is now available on the social gaming website of the Maryland Live! Casino outside Baltimore.
Cordish Companies’ Maryland Live!, in Hanover, is the state’s largest casino. It is GAN’s fifth U.S. land-based client to opt for the company’s Simulated Gaming platform, which is designed to provide brick-and-mortar venues with numerous option to attract more gaming customers through the online social casino. Maryland Live!’s free-to-play website, set up before the casino opened and used to enroll loyalty-club players before opening, was among the pioneers in the use of free-play social casino websites to attract new land-based customers.
Under the terms of the agreement between the two parties, GAN is replacing Maryland Live! Casino’s free-to-play website, after online customers have been successfully migrated to the supplier’s GameSTACK online gaming system, which powers the Simulated Gaming platform. The new platform has also been integrated with the casino’s existing loyalty program.
The Simulated Gaming service was developed by GAN specifically for U.S.-based brick-and-mortar casinos. It gives gambling venues the opportunity to launch gaming-as-entertainment sites and to offer their customers more than 200 titles, including slots and table games, with blackjack and poker being among those.
“In just a few short months,” said GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit, “GAN has deployed the GameSTACK internet gaming system on-property, fully integrated with the casino management system, completed a multi-stage beta test and successfully migrated our client’s existing free-to-play community onto our monetized Simulated Gaming platform. GAN’s enterprise-level technology solution enables Maryland Live! to unlock the online income dormant within their land-based gaming business and offer their patrons a compelling alternative to social casinos.”
Maryland Live! Casino President and General Manager Robert J. Norton predicted that the Simulated Gaming system will engage customers both online and at the facility, which will result in actual value being delivered on-property through the casino’s established loyalty program.
Norton added that through the integration of GAN’s solution, Maryland Live! Casino will be able to extend its relationships with patrons online and to popularize Simulated Gaming not only within the United States’ borders but also internationally.
