GGB PODCAST: Simon Thomas, Owner and CEO, Hippodrome Casino

In this episode we sit down with Simon Thomas, owner and CEO of London’s Hippodrome Casino.

There are over 140 casinos in the United Kingdom and the Hippodrome Casino in London does 11 percent of the business in that sector. Simon Thomas and his father, Jimmy Thomas, acquired the casino in 2012 and built it into one of London’s premier tourist attractions as well as an entertainment center. The casino honors the history of the Hippodrome, which includes a circus, nightclub, restaurant, and more. Thomas is constantly expanding the property, utilizing the basement for one of London’s finest Chinese restaurants, and he plans on installing a large sports book where punters can watch their favorite matches from all over the world. He talked with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at the ICE conference and tradeshow in Barcelona in January.
