GGW to Host ‘State of the Industry’ Panel at ICE

The AGA’s Global Gaming Women team is hosting “Women in Gaming: State of the Industry” panel at this week’s ICE Totally Gaming trade show. Maureen Sweeny (l.), Aristocrat’s chief commercial officer, will be one of the speakers.

Kicking off what is expected to be a dynamic year in furthering its educational initiatives, the American Gaming Association’s Global Gaming Women initiative will stage the panel “Women in Gaming: State of the Industry” during this week’s ICE Totally Gaming show.

“At Global Gaming Women, our stated purpose is to support the development and success of women in the international gaming industry through education, mentorship, and networking opportunities,” said Virginia McDowell, GGW board chair and president, and president an CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. “We are thrilled to begin the year in such a powerful way with this panel discussion, and we invite the entire industry to join us for this important and educational event.”

The panel takes place Wednesday, February 3, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in room 22 South Gallery at the ExCeL Center. The event is free to attend for registered ICE participants, women and men alike. Space is limited, and RSVP is required. To secure a place, email ggw@americangaming.org.

During this discussion, powerful female leaders from across the industry spectrum will discuss their career trajectories, the importance of reinvestment in rising women, their own successes and failures, and advice for women in the gaming industry.
