GLI Founders Buy Kobetron

GLI founders James Maida (l.) and Paul Magno have acquired all the assets of Kobetron LLC, an Ohio-based gaming testing company.

Kobetron, Inc., an Ohio-based gaming testing company, has completed a strategic capital transaction in which Gaming Laboratories International President James Maida and Vice President Paul Magno have acquired substantially all of the assets of Kobetron Inc.

The company will continue to operate under the name Kobetron, LLC. Greg Kobe will remain with Kobetron as president and will continue to provide strategic direction for the company.

Kobetron will be managed and operated as an independent company focused on service to the gaming industry. The infusion of new capital will allow the company to receive additional strategic support to enhance their product development, sales distribution, customer support and other strategic-related capital capabilities.

“This is a historically important strategic opportunity for Kobetron and for the customers we serve in the global gaming industry,” said Kobe. “With the infusion of capital, we will have a renewed intense focus on improvements in customer service globally and on new product development. This is a very exciting time for our company.”
