Merkur Gaming is owned by the Gauselmann Group, one of the most successful gaming companies in the world. Merkur has been a big player in Latin American for the past 10 years. Charles Hiten was appointed chief executive of Merkur Gaming Americas in 2015, following the unfortunate death of his predecessor Jens Halle. Like Halle, Hiten has experience with Novomatic and its parent company, Austrian Gaming Industries. He talks about Merkur’s strategy in North America and how its products have been achieving quick acceptance in the region. He sat down with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at G2E in October and discusses the new products Merkur presented at gaming’s largest trade show.
