GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Dallas Orchard, Senior Vice President, Global Premium Products, IGT

For most of the 1990s and early into the first part of the 21st Century, there was no challenger to IGT when it came to the quality slot machines and associated systems. As more challengers entered the market, that dominance eroded away. Dallas Orchard worked for one of those upstarts, Aristocrat Technologies, for eight years and made quite a dent in the IGT market share. So when IGT went looking for someone to return it to that dominant position, it wasn’t surprising to see them hire Orchard in early 2015. Since then, the roll out of new IGT products combined with Orchard’s relationships in the market has strengthened to company’s position. Orchard spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros at this year’s Global Gaming Expo to discuss his strategies and explain why IGT’s products are superior.
