The old model of developing new slot games in house has changed over the years, and today there are many game developers who start the process on the social media side, finally migrating to a casino slot machine. One of the most progressive game developers in this mold is High 5 Games, which made a big push into land-based gaming when they hired former IGT and Scientific Games executive Jean Venneman to handle that business. Venneman headed up brand licensing, gaming and interactive for Scientific Games, and prior to that was in charge of product management and product development for IGT. At High 5, she is charged with using her long-standing relationships with manufacturers and operators to deliver the innovative High 5 content to the market. She spoke via phone to GGB Editor Frank Legato for the cover story of the June issue of GGB on game content.
