GLOBAL GAMING BUSINESS PODCAST: Jennifer Shatley, President, Nevada Council on Problem Gambling

This week, the GGB Podcast features an interview with Jennifer Shatley, the president of the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling and a UNLV associate, on the need for the sports betting and online community to understand how marketing can impact responsible gambling.

Jennifer Shatley is one of the leading experts on problem gambling in the U.S. She spent almost 20 years with Harrah’s/Caesars Entertainment leading that company’s responsible gaming programs. As a member of the UNLV responsible gaming effort, Shatley authored a white paper on sports betting and online gaming marketing and the dangers of encouraging problem gambling. The widespread and rapid growth of online sports betting and iGaming puts pressure on companies to gain market share and use any methods available to acquire customers. Shatley spoke with GGB Publisher Roger Gros from her home office in Las Vegas in May.
