Most transactions these days in any industry do not include actual cash, but electronic transfers from some kind of payment card or account—except for gaming. Vantiv Entertainment Solutions and Sightline Payments have come up with a system—the Play+ platform—that allows slot players to fund an account remotely and then play from that account while in the casino, without the need for cash. Omer Sattar, the co-founder and executive vice president of strategic initiatives for Sightline Payments and Joe Pappano, the senior vice president and managing director for Vantiv Entertainment Solutions, are partners in this system and explain how it has been accepted during a beta test at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and how it has expanded since then.
