The upgraded 70,000 square foot gaming floor features a one-of-a-kind video wall, unique architectural ceiling and special carpeting incorporating Choctaw themes, as well as state-of-the-art Konami technology.

Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Tribal Chief Phyliss J. Anderson and Pearl River Resort President and Chief Executive Officer Holly Gagnon recently cut the ceremonial ribbon at the Golden Moon Hotel & Casino in Philadelphia, Mississippi, unveiling the property’s recent million renovation. “The Golden Moon renovation utilizes design and technology to create an unparalleled entertainment, gaming, and lodging experience for our guests. The efforts to enhance Golden Moon will benefit our guests, our employees, the community and the tribe,” Gagnon said.

Designed by architects Marnell Companies of Las Vegas, the renovation includes a 70,000 square foot gaming floor with 1,150 slot machines, 25 table games, an elevated 14-table poker room, one-of-a-kind video wall and a new center bar. A unique architectural ceiling and specially designed carpet that depicts Choctaw culture add to the special atmosphere.

Resort rooms include 42-inch flat screen televisions, contemporary furnishings and custom Choctaw-inspired artwork.

Technology upgrades also were included in the project. Both the Golden Moon and Silver Star casinos at the Pearl River Resort feature Konami Gaming’s award-winning casino management system, SYNKROS. “This allows guests to enjoy new slots and an integrated gaming experience like never before,” Gagnon said.

Guests can use kiosks located throughout the property to handle various transactions such as reprinting cards and comps. Also, guests may be notified by text when their hotel rooms and restaurant tables are ready.
