The Graton Resort and Casino in Northern California will open its 5 million expansion in Rohnert Park on November 15. This comes just three years after the 0 million casino owned by the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and operated by Station Casinos opened, and was immediately classed as one of the biggest casinos in the state.
The expansion includes a six story hotel with 200 rooms and a convention center. For the first time guests wanting the stretch out their visit won’t have to visit a neighboring hotel.
Graton Resort and Casino General Manager and Vice-President Joe Hasson told SFGate that the facility had always had some attributes of a resort such as dining, entertainment and bars and lounges. “Now the lodging component will fulfill all the elements of our name, and a guest will seamlessly be able to leave the casino, jump in an elevator and ride to their room,” he said.
Standard rooms exceed 500 square feet and offer bathrooms outfitted with stand-alone marble and glass showers and luxurious soaking tubs. Reportedly interest in the new hotel has led it to accept bookings into 2018. The convention center will accommodate up to 800 for events and 1,700 for shows.
The three existing restaurants will be joined by the Boathouse Asian restaurant.
